Never go to a restaurant with a politician…

because you will always pick up the bill.

A smart politician/bureaucrat can spend and waste money for years and leave the bill to the next guy — who usually pays the least amount possible so that he can spend and waste and then pass on the bill.

It increasingly looks like our generation will be the next greatest generation, in that we will be the ones that get stuck with the check at last call and we will have to struggle, toil, and sacrifice to make things right again. Some people are born great… some have greatness thrust upon them by their parents dis-savings rate.

Note — so I may have used the same sentence in this post and another post — but that doesn’t make it any less true or well written ;)
